Happy Bark Day

Today marks the beginning of Princess Pooches' 5th year. It's hard to imagine she's been with us that long. It's a cliché, but it really does seem like we brought her home not all that long ago. She was a wee pup then, timid and more than a little anxious about her new surroundings. And while she's still somewhat timid today, she's settled in quite nicely and has really taken to the spot of top dog in Clyde's absence. I'm sure the fact that she practically gets whatever she wants whenever she wants it has helped to feed her status as alpha dog, ruler of all humans, cats and the tortoise.

Although June 5th will be the 5th anniversary of the day she became a part of the family, I wanted to mark today--her official birthday--with a few then and now photos.
